September 2017: Forest Side Opens Adult Day Program

Forest Hills of DC, a private not-for-profit organization which has been serving seniors since 1889 is expanding its Forest Side Memory Care Assisted Living service to include an Adult Day Program.

“We are well aware that many spouses and family members choose to have their loved ones’ with dementia remain at home as long as possible. This act of love can cause many family care givers to experience significant stress and burnout.” she added. “A local Day Program provides those family members with much needed support during their long journey.”

August 2017: Forest Hills Expands Assisted Living Services

Forest Hills of DC , a private not-for-profit organization that has been serving seniors since 1889 is expanding its service levels for current and new assisted living residents.

“Over the last several years, our senior leadership has identified the need to evolve our assisted living services to better serve the broad spectrum of acuity levels that our residents and candidates for admission are experiencing,” according to Mary Savoy, MS, LNHA, Executive Director of Forest Hills and Forest Side.

September 2016: Forest Hills of DC & Luvozo Announce Partnership to Introduce First Robot into Nursing Home

Forest Hills of DC & Luvozo PBC have announced their partnership to bring the first resident-centric telepresence robot into a skilled nursing facility in this region. SAM, The Robotic Concierge, completed initial beta testing in 2016 at Forest Hills and is anticipated to arrive in an enhanced configuration early in 2017.
