Earlier this month, our staff, residents, and their families came together for a day at the ballpark to celebrate National Assisted Living Week!
It was a grand slam celebration with our Forest Hills of DC (FHDC) by Goodwin Living community at Nationals Park. Tickets were made available with generous support from DC Ward 3 Councilmember Matthew Frumin.
This year’s theme for National Assisted Living Week was “Ageless Adventure,” and communities across the country took the opportunity to celebrate the residents they serve with a variety of activities and educate the public about the supportive services offered with assisted living. “Being with residents enjoying a hotdog, great seats, and cheering on the Nats…priceless. It was definitely an adventure!” shared Tina Sandri, President of FHDC.
Baseball is a beloved pastime that gives a sense of adventure and fun to young and older alike. Thank you to our team members and families who all worked together to make it happen!
