In March 2025, Forest Hills of DC and Goodwin Living announced an affiliation with the goal of bringing more resources, programming and investment to uplift the lives of Forest Hills residents and team members. 

Founded in 1967, Goodwin Living is a faith-based, not-for-profit senior living and healthcare organization that supports, honors and uplifts the lives of thousands of people every day through its range of senior living communities and health services in Northern Virginia and Washington, D.C.

Governance of Forest Hills of DC is provided by the Goodwin Living Board of Trustees as part of the March 2025 affiliation of the two organizations, and leadership is provided by both Goodwin Living senior management and the existing Forest Hills of DC senior management.
