About the AARP Community Challenge Grant
Forest Hills of DC is one of only three organizations in Washington, D.C. to win the AARP Community Challenge Grant award this year. With funding from the grant, we’re preparing a public art initiative in partnership with Art Against Ageism and local professional photographer Marvin Bowser.
The installation, titled “See Me, Hear Me: The Art of Living,” will be comprised of large-scale, biodegradable murals that feature our residents and team members, wheat-pasted to the Forest Hills of DC building. The installation will officially launch during DC’s Art All Night Festival on September 28, 2024.
