Adele has lived at Forest Hills for one year and she has a good life with family. She likes having the opportunity to participate in a lot of activities. Her favorite activity is bingo because she is competitive. She has lived in DC her whole life and says it is a great city.
A Good Life With Family
She is very close to her family, including Peggy and Brenda who are also residents here. Peggy is an avid sports fan and a proud Washingtonian. She especially loves tennis, which she used to play. She was a school teacher and loves history. Peggy is a connector of people and loves music. Brenda has a good sense of humor. She also loves Washington and is very close to her family. Always up for an adventure, she is social, a great neighbor and stylish. She loves all types of music. “I have people that I can talk to here,” she says.
Earlier in her life, Adele worked as a grants management specialist at the Department of Health and Human Services for 30 years before retiring. She enjoyed this job because she had always been interested in figures and liked traveling.
“After retiring, I volunteered with AARP,” she says. “I was the state coordinator for DC and basically was the training specialist for the DC tax programs for all the tax sites which are mostly libraries.”
Her advice for a good life is to work, work, work, and play, play, play.
