The McKnight Women of Distinction Award is a prestigious award given to women who have made significant contributions to their communities and have demonstrated leadership in their respective fields. The award is presented by the McKnight Foundation, a philanthropic organization based in Minnesota, United States. The award recognizes women who have made a positive impact in the areas of arts, education, human services, and community development. Recipients of the award are honored for their dedication, perseverance, and commitment to making a difference in the lives of others. The award includes a cash prize and a public recognition ceremony.
The McKnight’s Hall of Honor category honors women who are at a level equivalent to vice president or higher. These prestigious, national awards were presented in Chicago last week.
“The judges and those of us at McKnight’s continue to be impressed with the impacts made by Hall of Honor inductees on long-term care in general and on their colleagues, residents, patients and clients in particular,” said McKnight’s Editorial Director, Vice President, and Associate Publisher John O’Connor. “They and the other honorees this year exemplify the passion that makes long-term care special,”
Tina Sandri, our CEO, was honored for her decades-long track record as a solutions-oriented, innovative leader. She and her teams are dedicated to a philosophy of being the tide that lifts all boats in senior living through a growth mindset and unleashing the diverse talents of her teams. The impacts of Tina’s passion for elders is evidenced locally at Forest Hills of DC, regionally with the District of Columbia nursing homes and assisted living communities, and on the national level via the work groups and Boards on which she serves.
Congratulations, Tina!
