Meet Kia Standard, the dynamic Life Enrichment Director at Forest Hills of DC. With a boundless amount of energy and enthusiasm, Kia is dedicated to creating engaging and exciting activities for our residents. Her passion for enhancing the lives of others shines through in everything she does, and she is committed to ensuring that every resident has access to meaningful and enjoyable experiences.

Kia is a former dancer, singer, and actress, who has performed on Broadway, regionally, and throughout Europe in shows like West Side Story, Bubbling Brown Sugar, The King and I, and Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat. One of her favorite shows is Jimmy Buffett’s “Don’t Stop the Carnival,” which was performed at the Coconut Grove Playhouse in Florida, and The Atlantis in the Bahamas.  Kia also performed at Carnegie Hall with the Broadway Gospel Choir, and has worked with celebrities like Jennifer Lopez, Cyndi Lauper, and Whoopi Goldberg. During her time in New York City, she worked as a fitness trainer and a tour guide at The Radio City Music Hall.

Kia’s creative approach to life enrichment is evident in the diverse range of activities she plans, from art workshops and fitness classes to cultural outings and social events. She understands the importance of keeping both the mind and body active, and she is always looking for new and innovative ways to engage residents and create a sense of community.

With Kia at the helm, residents of Forest Hills of DC can look forward to a calendar full of exciting opportunities for learning, socializing, and having fun. Her energy is contagious, and her dedication to enhancing the lives of others is truly inspiring. We are incredibly fortunate to have Kia as part of our team, and we look forward to the exciting adventures she has in store for us!
