Welcoming Community

Corry has worked at Forest Hills for six years. He started as a per diem speech pathologist then transitioned into the Rehab Director position. He has been a speech pathologist for 11 years and worked as a traveling pathologist for four years between Pennsylvania and Florida. Eventually he landed at Forest Hills. “It’s a great community with a welcoming atmosphere,” he says. “Everyone wants to see everyone do well, especially the residents. So, it’s an all-around great place.”

Romade is 68 years old and has worked here for three years as an LPN. He likes that the community is peaceful and that there are nice residents and staff. Taking care of residents is something he loves to do. He comes from a family of healthcare professionals. “I’m a hardworking and energetic person. When I’m not working, I don’t feel happy.”

Mariah has worked at Forest Hills since 2020, where she is transportation and appointment coordinator and unit secretary. The residents are what she likes most about working at the community. She has built relationships with them, knows their lives and their families. She likes her team. “My nurses and CNAs on the first floor, we work together as a team,” she says. “They are reliable.” This is her first nursing position. She has a background in being an armed security officer. She is 27 years old, and she loves her life at this age. Her advice for living a good life is to go with the flow. “If things don’t go your way…that’s life.”
