Lieutenant Colonel Patricia Nance will be the guest speaker for Veterans Day, November 11, 2022. She will be speaking about the military today as well as sharing and engaging with residents about their time as well.

About Lieutenant Colonel Patricia Nance

Lieutenant Colonel Patricia Nance, a native of Columbus, Georgia, enlisted in the United States Army Reserve in 1984 and served as a Combat Medic in the 73rd Field Hospital while attending the Columbus State University.  In 1990, she graduated from the university with a Bachelor of Science.  She was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the Ordnance Corps the same year. 

Lieutenant Colonel Nance’ has served 27 years in the Regular Army serving in a variety of assignments in both the Continental United States and Overseas.  Her assignment history includes, TOW and Vulcan Missile Platoon Leader, Echo Company 122 Main Support Company; Maintenance Control Officer and Accountable Officer, 77th Maintenance Company; Material Maintenance Officer , 485th Corps Support Battalion; Ammunition Officer, 13th Corps Support Battalion; Commander, 608th Ordnance Company, 13th Corps Support Battalion; Commander, James River Recruiting Company, Baltimore Recruiting Battalion ; Operations Officer, Headquarters US Army ROTC Cadet Command; Operations Officer and S3, Headquarters G4 and Special Troop Battalion, 3rd Army; Brigade S4, 513th Military Intelligence Brigade; Security Cooperation Officer, Air Defense Program Manager and Land Forces Branch Chief, Headquarters Central Command, US Embassy Egypt; Chief, Materiel Readiness Branch, Deputy Support Operations Officer, Chief of Operations and Chief of Training, Exercise and Readiness, 1st Theater Sustainment Command.

Lieutenant Colonel Nance’s awards include the Bronze Star (2 OLC), Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal (2 OLC), Army Commendation Medal (5 OLC), and the Army Achievement Medal (3 OLC). She earned the Parachutist Badge and the Recruiters Badge.

Lieutenant Colonel Nance is a graduate of the Army Ordnance Munitions Materiel Management Officer Basic Course, Army Combined Logistics Officer Advance Course, Recruiting Company Command Course, Combined Arms Staff Service School, Command and General Staff College, and the Security Assistance Management Overseas Course.

Lieutenant Colonel Nance has served in Operation Desert Shield/Storm, Operation Iraqi Freedom/Enduring Freedom and Operation New Dawn.
